The praying house built in 1709 was extended by a belfryin 1732to 1734 and the church room was also extended.

The name Mountain Church indicates its special mountainous location. The facet ceiling and the galleries were painted according to drawings of damask weaving, which means the grey in grey technique. The lower gallery has been decorated with pleas of the Lord's Prayer, the upper with motives of the Sermon on the Mount.The ceiling paintings portray biblical scenes.

The graceful ornaments at the altar are especially pretty. The style tends already to rococo.

The church is a popular place for couple who want to get married.
