The holy Nikolaus is the patron saint of the traders. The country roads lead from nearly all directions directly to the Nikolai Church.

The late-Gothic hall church was built in the 14th century and was extended in 1742 by a third side aisle in the south.�A fundamental reorganisation�took place�in�1884/85 by Gotthilf Ludwig M�ckel. Most of the old interior was taken away and the church received neo-Gothic forms.
